The College of Arts and Letters is sponsoring a staff book discussion group.  Angela Anderson and Marnie Farmer are the group coordinators and they announce the following:

First let me say, I appreciate everyone who showed up for the first get-together .. and those who couldn't make it were missed!

The first meeting went great!  Lots of conversations about flying sandwiches and Mr. McCourt's view of the educational system.  I, personally, left the meeting hungry for a good bologna sandwich...

I am looking forward to seeing everyone on October 26th...to finish up this book.  

Marnie and I had discussed picking.  For those interested, we might pick out a short read to discuss November and December.  This would be a gathering on our own as the College's commitment to The Art of Reading Book Discussion Group has already been met...  Just an idea - if you want to do this, think of some quick, easy, holiday reading material to suggest...
